GigabytesNetwork works to connect the people, resources, and companies that directly or indirectly relate to and influence the Linspire operating system together in one place.  Those unfamiliar with Linspire can get information and help, and others can utilize this site to get access to Linspire-specific resources.  Our goal is making the access to the people, places and things as user-friendly as the Linspire operating system itself as well as providing services and support that simply aren't available anywhere else.

GigabytesNetwork FAQ
Why are you Using NVU to build this site?
This site is committed to showcasing products and technology directly related to Linspire.  NVU's development is sponsored directly by Linspire and in creating this site, we would be remiss in our duty not to showcase NVU's capability.  Also, it would hardly do the site justice if we used Microsoft FrontPage now would it?
Who is Gigabytes Computer Store and why are they investing the time and effort into this project?
Gigabytes Computer Store is a small business in Sioux Falls, SD whose main driving goal is to offer customers choices in the computer technology they purchase.  Software like Linspire, OpenOffice.org, Firefox and others fit very well into achieving this goal.  It behooves us to show our support and contribute to its success in any way we can.
Surely there are better distributions out there to support, why support Linspire?
Each distribution has good and bad points.  Linspire, however,  is the only distribution to meet Gigabytes Computer Store's requirements for user-friendliness and compatibility.
Who is the GigabytesNetwork Webmaster? The GigabytesNetwork Webmaster is Josh Tordsen.  He is a:
  • Linspire Authorized System Builder
  • Linspire Authorized Reseller
  • Registered Linspire Software Publisher
  • Registered Linspire Consultant
  • Linspire Insider
  • Owner of Gigabytes Computer Store
  • Founder of Gigastrand International
Why do you only support Linspire/freespire? Supporting Linspire and freespire is our primary focus, however, we do acknowledge other distributions effort to further the acceptance of desktop Linux.  One example is our Crusades where the pre-written letters are generally not distribution specific.  They refer to "desktop Linux" and where Linspire is mentioned, users are free to edit the text and submit in favor of whatever distribution they prefer.
What sorts of projects do you have in mind for the future? We have all sorts of projects that seem to come out of nowhere sometimes.  Whenever someone requests a feature or service that will enhance the Linspire experience, we do our best to implement that request.

Many of these projects could not be completed without help.  The best way for you to help us get these projects done is by purchasing from the GigabytesNetwork store.
